IDUG selected IT Convergence as a development and hosting partner, in order to provide robust, flexible, and continuous availability for IDUG’s website, thereby enhancing its value to IDUG members and the growing global community of DB2 users.  IDUG’s website, along with its educational offerings, is the key gateway that connects the dynamic international community of data management professionals who rely on IBM DB2 technology.

IT Convergence developed the new IDUG.org website working with JAVA/J2EE tools and technologies and presented it at IDUG Europe conference, held in Vienna, Austria. The new www.IDUG.org website was built using IBM’s WebSphere Portal and IBM Workplace Web Content Management, which provides IDUG registered users with an easy way to manage information.

The site was redesigned with an improved user interface developed by IT Convergence Marketing Services. The new site will continue serving as the organization’s primary interface to its members, with a host of popular features including the IDUG Insider, IDUG’s online technical resource repository; a directory to Regional User Groups; the latest information on IDUG conferences and training offerings; and a calendar of DB2-related events.  State of the art DB2 technology will serve as the database engine that powers the site.
