Oracle Corporation has announced the general availability of Oracle E-Business Suite R12.2 atOracle OpenWorld 2013. Oracle Applications R12.2 online patching functionality will give ERP users unprecedented high availability as maintenance due to downtime windows will shrink dramatically.
In early 2012, IT Convergence was invited by Oracle Corporation to join the Beta Program for E-Business Suite Release 12.2 becoming one of the first organizations to join the program worldwide.
Over the last two years, IT Convergence’s internal team has worked extensively with Oracle R12.2. This work has included thing such as extensive testing with third party reporting products such as Noetix and has been conducted in close collaboration with Oracle Development.
Over the curse of the current year, IT Convergence’s executive team made the decision to become an early adopter of Oracle R12.2, and the business case and subsequent ROI used to validate the decision to upgrade to Oracle R12.2 was cited by Oracle Corporation itself in its press release announcing EBS R12.2’s general availability.
