Oracle Hyperion EPM 11.2.8 is Here: New Features & Innovations

It’s here! Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) 11.2.8 is now available, and relatively quickly after the release of version 11.2.7 which was announced less than 5 months ago in October 2021.

Packed with new features and innovation, Oracle EPM 11.2.8 supersedes all previous versions as the latest, most up-to-date version of the software.

EPM 11.2.8 Release Benefits

In this latest release of Oracle Hyperion EPM 11.2.8, clients can expect to benefit from:

  • Simplified repository configuration to streamline the infrastructure and architecture for the future.

In parallel to understanding the benefits of being upgraded to the latest version of the EPM software, it’s also important to consider the features and products that are no longer supported:

  • After release 11.2.6, the EPM system no longer distributed Oracle Essbase Studio and was removed from the EPM System Installer.
  • IIS is no longer supported as a web server for EPM, other than for Oracle Data Relationship Management.
  • Solaris, AIX, and DB2 are no longer supported with no future plans to include them in future releases.
  • Users can no longer create new Oracle Hyperion Public Sector Planning and Budgeting applications. Instead, users are recommended to upgrade Public Sector Planning and Budgeting applications from release 11.2.4 to release 11.2.4+.
  • Users can no longer perform vertical scaling.
  • Removing EPM Oracle instances is no longer supported.
  • The smart push capability is not supported in release 11.2.8.
  • Oracle Hyperion Strategic Finance is no longer supported.
  • Oracle Crystal Ball is now replaced by Predictive Planning.
  • Offline Planning is no longer supported.
  • Oracle Hyperion Workforce Planning is no longer supported.
  • Oracle Hyperion Capital Asset Planning is no longer supported.
  • Oracle Project Financial Planning is no longer supported.
  • Financial Management Analytics is no longer supported.
  • Quantitative Management and Reporting for Solvency is no longer supported.
  • Disclosure Management is no longer supported.
  • Hyperion BI Plus is no longer available but users can now use Financial Reporting.
  • The Oracle Hyperion Financial Close Management release 11.2 doesn’t support Financial Management integrations, event monitoring, end-user integrations, and automated integrations.
  • Oracle Hyperion Financial Data Quality Management, Enterprise Edition, no longer supports SOAP web services and integration with on-premise Oracle Fusion Financials. Please note that Oracle Financials Cloud integration is available.
  • Users can no longer perform direct posting of Budget Revision to Peoplesoft Commitment Control.
  • For now, the JD Edwards and Peoplesoft HCM source adapters are not available in 11.2.x release but are planned to be considered for certification in future releases.
  • Users can no longer use Visual Basic scripting for new installations since release 11.2.5.
  • Oracle Hyperion EPM Architect is no longer available in release 11.2.x.
